- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz tomato sauce (jarred or homemade)
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Form the mixture into golf-sized meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the meatballs until golden brown on all sides (about 8-10 minutes).
- Pour tomato sauce over the meatballs in the skillet and reduce heat to low; let simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente in salted boiling water.
- Drain spaghetti and serve topped with meatballs and sauce.
