- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 4 cups mashed potatoes (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onions and diced carrots; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened. Stir in frozen peas.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; season with salt and pepper. Let simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes evenly on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
