Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb frozen French fries (crinkle-cut or straight)
- 8 oz ribeye steak
- 1 medium sweet onion, sliced thin
- 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the French fries package instructions. Spread fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add oil and sauté sliced onions and green bell peppers until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
- Season ribeye steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sear in the skillet until desired doneness (3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare), then let rest and slice thinly against the grain.
- Once fries are crispy, layer sautéed veggies and sliced steak on top. Generously sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return loaded fries to the oven for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
