- 2 slices sourdough or whole grain bread
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients: bread, cheese, tomato, and butter.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
- Place one slice butter-side down in the skillet. Layer with cheddar cheese and tomato slices, then top with the second slice of bread (butter-side up).
- Grill for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown; flip carefully with a spatula.
- Cook the other side until golden and cheese melts (another 3-4 minutes). Serve hot and enjoy!
