- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 8 oz wide egg noodles
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sauté onions and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until fragrant (3-4 minutes).
- Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in mushrooms, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce; cook until mushrooms are tender (about 5 minutes).
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture while stirring. Gradually add beef broth and stir until sauce thickens (2-3 minutes).
- Remove from heat and mix in sour cream until fully combined.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and combine them with the stroganoff.
