- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by chopping garlic and getting the shrimp ready.
- Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and reserve 1 cup of cooking water.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, warm olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Add shrimp and sprinkle with red pepper flakes; cook until shrimp turns pink and opaque (3-5 minutes).
- Toss in the drained pasta, gradually adding reserved pasta water until desired consistency is achieved.
- Stir in parsley and lemon juice; season with salt and pepper before serving.
