- 14 oz firm tofu
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Press the tofu gently to remove excess moisture and slice it into thick steaks.
- In a bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place the sliced tofu in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to 400°F (200°C).
- Grill the marinated tofu steaks for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown with char marks.
- Allow resting before serving; drizzle with extra lemon juice if desired.
