Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu gently to remove excess moisture and slice it into thick steaks.
  2. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the sliced tofu in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Grill the marinated tofu steaks for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown with char marks.
  6. Allow resting before serving; drizzle with extra lemon juice if desired.
