- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 sheet puff pastry (about 14 oz)
- 1 large egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine ground lamb, parsley, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares (5 inches wide).
- Place a spoonful of the kofta mixture in the center of each square. Fold over and seal edges with fingers or fork.
- Brush each burek with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
