- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6–8 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold filtered water
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Juice the fresh lemons until you have about 1 cup of lemon juice.
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves to create simple syrup.
- In a large pitcher, mix the lemon juice and simple syrup. Add 4 cups of cold water and stir well; adjust sweetness if needed.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves if desired.
