Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Prep your kitchen by gathering all ingredients and preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, paprika, black pepper, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or bowl; pour the marinade over them and seal tightly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (or longer if time allows).
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a splash of olive oil. Sear chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer seared chicken to an oven-safe dish; pour any remaining marinade over it. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
- Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
