- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup M&M candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Mix in peanut butter until fully combined, then add the egg and beat until smooth.
- Gradually stir in the dry mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
- Fold in half of the M&Ms gently into the dough.
- Use a cookie scoop to drop dough onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft. Press remaining M&Ms into each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
- Let cool on the pan for about five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
