  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup M&M candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Mix in peanut butter until fully combined, then add the egg and beat until smooth.
  5. Gradually stir in the dry mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Fold in half of the M&Ms gently into the dough.
  7. Use a cookie scoop to drop dough onto prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft. Press remaining M&Ms into each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  9. Let cool on the pan for about five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
