- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp more maple syrup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time; then add milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until no dry spots remain.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with maple syrup until smooth. Drizzle over cooled donut bars before slicing.
