- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; sauté onions and garlic until soft (about 5 minutes).
- Mix chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and thyme in a bowl. Add to the skillet and simmer for a few minutes.
- Place chicken in the baking dish and pour the sauce over it. Bake for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
