- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple rings in juice
- 1 jar (10 oz) maraschino cherries
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round baking pan with butter.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Pour into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Arrange pineapple rings over the brown sugar mixture and tuck cherries into each ring.
- In another bowl, prepare the yellow cake mix according to package directions; add eggs, water, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter over the arranged pineapples and cherries.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown; check with a toothpick for doneness.
- Let cool slightly before flipping onto a serving plate.
