Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto greased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but the centers look slightly underbaked. Allow to cool on the pan briefly before transferring to wire racks.
