- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
- Form small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Slice hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting fully through. Spread marinara sauce inside each roll, add meatballs, and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot.
