- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and minced garlic until smooth.
- Place the chicken in a resealable bag and pour half of the marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours for best results).
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375-400°F / 190-200°C).
- Remove chicken from marinade and discard remaining marinade. Grill each side for 6-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Brush reserved marinade on chicken during the last minute of grilling.
- Serve on a platter with extra sauce if desired.
