- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix warm water and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Punch down the risen dough and roll into one-inch balls, stuffing each with shredded cheese before sealing tightly.
- Boil water in a large pot; carefully add baking soda and boil each pretzel bite for 30 seconds before draining on paper towels.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C), arrange bites on parchment-lined baking sheet, sprinkle with salt, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
