Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans and dust them with flour.
- In a bowl, whisk together cake flour and baking powder until combined.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Gradually add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternate adding the dry mixture and milk to the wet ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Gently fold in rainbow sprinkles until evenly distributed.
- Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes on a wire rack before frosting or serving plain.
