Instructions

- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined—avoid overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
