- 4 slices thick bread (brioche or Texas toast)
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup cinnamon sugar mixture (¼ cup sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, sliced strawberries, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Generously spread the filling between two slices of bread to form sandwiches.
- Dip each sandwich in beaten eggs and coat with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Fry sandwiches until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon sugar and optional chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
