Instructions
- Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a medium saucepan, combine rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and optional sugar.
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat while stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover tightly, and simmer for about 15 minutes until all liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
