- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed to 110°F
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast with a pinch of sugar; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center; add yeast mixture, butter, and eggs. Stir to combine.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth; place in an oiled bowl and cover. Let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Roll out dough into a rectangle (16×12 inches), spread with softened butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon-brown sugar mixture. Roll tightly and slice into 12 pieces.
- Place in greased baking dish; allow to rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
