- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Combine warm milk and yeast in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a mixing bowl, blend flour, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt with the yeast mixture until slightly sticky.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread melted butter over it. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, then roll tightly and slice into individual pieces.
- Place in a greased baking dish to rise again for about 30 minutes before baking at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and milk after cooling slightly.
