- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, and vegetable oil until frothy.
- Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined; lumps are okay.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Fill muffin cups about three-quarters full and bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
