- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup high-quality dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix flour and granulated sugar. Add cold butter and blend until crumbly. Press the mixture evenly into a tart pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar and heavy cream. Stir until bubbling, then simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in dark chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate caramel filling into the cooled crust, sprinkle with sea salt, and refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Slice and serve with extra caramel sauce if desired.
