- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs total)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying (about ½ inch deep)
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts into 1-inch wide strips for even cooking.
- Set up your breading station: one bowl with seasoned flour (add garlic powder), another with beaten eggs, and a third with panko breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper.
- Dip each strip in the flour, then the egg wash, and finally coat well in panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until shimmering. Fry each strip for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
