- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 3–4 breasts)
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 4 oz provolone cheese, sliced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hoagie rolls
Instructions
- Slice the chicken into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté the onions and bell peppers until tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Push the veggies to one side of the skillet; add chicken strips. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Drizzle Worcestershire sauce over the chicken; stir to combine. Let simmer for another minute.
- Lay provolone cheese over the chicken mixture, cover the skillet with a lid until melted (about 1 minute).
- Fill each hoagie roll generously with the cheesy chicken mixture and serve hot.
