  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (or panko)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded fresh mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, another with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip into eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
