- 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Slice ripe peaches into thin wedges and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix until just combined.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients, alternating with milk until smooth.
- Fold in half of the peach slices gently.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and top with remaining peach slices.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
