  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Cinnamon sugar mixture (1/2 cup sugar mixed with 2 tsp cinnamon for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar until combined.
  2. In another bowl, mix fresh apple cider, melted butter, eggs, and milk until smooth.
  3. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients gently until just combined; do not overmix.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels before rolling in cinnamon sugar while still warm.
