- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 cup elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup whole milk
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup cooked bacon bits (optional)
- Sliced green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Boil salted water and cook macaroni until al dente (about 8 minutes). Drain well.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk, stirring until thick (about 5 minutes).
- Remove from heat; mix in cheese until melted and creamy. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Fold cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until well coated.
- Roll out pizza dough into desired shape; spread macaroni and cheese evenly over the crust.
- If desired, top with bacon bits and green onions before baking for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing into wedges.
