- 1 lb lean ground turkey or chicken
- 2 tsp homemade taco seasoning (cumin, paprika, salt)
- 4 whole wheat tortillas
- 1 cup chopped lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 avocado, sliced
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- ½ cup salsa
Instructions
- Chop the lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado into bite-sized pieces.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground turkey or chicken for about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Sprinkle taco seasoning over the meat and stir in half a cup of water. Let it simmer on low heat for five minutes.
- Warm whole wheat tortillas in another pan over low heat for one minute on each side.
- Assemble your tacos by placing seasoned meat in each tortilla and topping with fresh vegetables and Greek yogurt.
- Serve immediately with salsa on the side or drizzled on top.
