- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in canned tomatoes with their juices; gently break them up with a wooden spoon.
- Stir in Italian herbs, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Just before serving, mix in fresh basil or parsley.
