- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 3–4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a saucepan, bring the broth to a gentle boil.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat; sauté the garlic for about one minute until fragrant.
- Add the rinsed rice to the skillet; stir to coat in butter, then pour in the boiling broth.
- Bring to a simmer, cover tightly, and reduce heat to low for about 15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat; let sit covered for five minutes before fluffing with a fork and garnishing with parsley.
