- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- 1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
- 2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
- 3. Stir in sliced mushrooms; cook until tender.
- 4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stirring for one minute.
- 5. Gradually pour in the beef broth, adding Worcestershire sauce and seasoning with salt and pepper.
- 6. Lower the heat, let it simmer for about five minutes until thickened.
- 7. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until combined. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
