Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless lamb shoulder
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- Juice of 1 large lemon
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 3 pieces of pita bread
- Fresh vegetables (tomatoes, red onions, lettuce)
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade by whisking together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Place lamb in a resealable bag or dish; pour the marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
- Grill the marinated lamb for 6-8 minutes on each side until it reaches an internal temperature of at least 145°F. Let rest for ten minutes before slicing thinly.
- Warm pita bread slightly, then layer sliced lamb inside with tzatziki sauce and fresh veggies.
