- 1/4 cup filtered water (heated to 175°F)
- 1/2 cup milk (optional, dairy or plant-based)
- 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Gather your tools: a matcha bowl, bamboo whisk, and sifter.
- 2. Sift the matcha powder into the bowl for a smooth blend.
- 3. Add 1/4 cup of hot water and whisk vigorously in an 'M' or 'W' motion until frothy (about 30 seconds).
- 4. For a lighter drink, add another 1/2 cup of hot water and whisk again.
- 5. If desired, heat and froth milk separately and pour it into your matcha mixture.
- 6. Sweeten with honey or agave syrup while gently whisking if preferred.
- 7. Serve in your favorite mug and enjoy slowly!
