- 4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 8 oz fresh halal mozzarella, sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and dry the tomatoes and basil leaves.
- Slice the tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick rounds.
- Cut the halal mozzarella into similar-sized rounds.
- On a serving platter, alternate layers of tomato slices, mozzarella slices, and basil leaves.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar; season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.
