Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak
- 6 cloves fresh garlic
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
- Marinate the beef in a mixture of soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and black pepper for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Cook the marinated beef in batches for about 3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Return all beef to the skillet with remaining marinade and stir-fry for another couple of minutes.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
