  • 9 lasagna noodles (traditional or no-boil)
  • 1 lb ground beef or sausage
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or sausage until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta with the egg and Italian seasoning until smooth.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish. Layer with noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and more marinara. Repeat layers, finishing with noodles topped with remaining marinara and mozzarella.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing to serve.
