- 9 lasagna noodles (traditional or no-boil)
- 1 lb ground beef or sausage
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or sausage until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta with the egg and Italian seasoning until smooth.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish. Layer with noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and more marinara. Repeat layers, finishing with noodles topped with remaining marinara and mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing to serve.
