Ingredients
- 2–3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp honey
- Burger buns
- Lettuce and pickles (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Marinate the chicken by soaking it in buttermilk for at least one hour.
- 2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- 3. Heat oil in a skillet to about 350°F (175°C).
- 4. Coat the marinated chicken in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown (4-5 minutes per side).
- 5. Drain excess oil on paper towels and assemble sandwiches with mayonnaise, lettuce, pickles, and fried chicken on toasted buns.
