Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Cooking oil for stir-frying
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by slicing the beef, cutting the broccoli into bite-sized pieces, mincing the garlic, and grating the ginger.
- Make the marinade by mixing soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl until well combined.
- Marinate the beef by adding it to the marinade and letting it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Cook the beef by heating oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat; sear marinated beef for about three minutes until browned but not fully cooked.
- Add broccoli to the skillet along with any remaining marinade; cook for an additional five minutes until broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
- Serve hot on plates or family-style in a bowl, drizzling extra sauce if desired.
