- 2 pastry sheets
- 2 medium potatoes (boiled and mashed)
- 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Sauté onions until translucent. Add mashed potatoes, peas, cumin, coriander, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Cut pastry sheets into triangles and fill each with the potato mixture. Seal edges tightly with water.
- Fry samosas in hot oil until golden brown on both sides (about 3-4 minutes).
- Drain excess oil on paper towels and serve hot with mint chutney or tamarind sauce.
