- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut chicken breasts into strips about one inch wide and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Set up three bowls: whisk eggs in one, mix flour and cayenne in the second, and place breadcrumbs in the third.
- Dip each chicken strip into flour, then egg wash, and finally coat well with breadcrumbs.
- Place coated strips on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or fresh veggies.
