  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 24 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (226g)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (150g)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (60g)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (1.5g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about three minutes.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them out as they will spread while baking.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
