- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (226g)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (150g)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (60g)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)
- 1/4 tsp salt (1.5g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about three minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them out as they will spread while baking.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
