- 4 medium russet potatoes (about 800g)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Toppings of choice (sour cream, cheese, chives, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Scrub the russet potatoes under cold water and dry thoroughly.
- Place the potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Rub to coat evenly.
- Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes until golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork.
- Let cool slightly before slicing open lengthwise. Fluff the insides with a fork and top with your favorite toppings.
