- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, minced garlic, onion powder, and pepper until smooth. Pour this sauce over the chicken.
- Layer shredded Swiss cheese on top of the sauce.
- Sprinkle the stuffing mix over the cheese and drizzle with extra chicken broth.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
