Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in minced garlic, thyme, and smoked paprika; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add corn and chicken broth; bring to a simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Incorporate shrimp into the pot, cooking until they turn pink (3 to 5 minutes).
- Pour in heavy cream while stirring gently; heat through without boiling.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
