- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients: chop chicken into bite-sized pieces and mince garlic.
- Cook the pasta: boil salted water, add pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
- Sauté the chicken: melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown, about 7-10 minutes.
- Add garlic: stir in minced garlic when chicken is nearly cooked, sauté for about 1 minute.
- Create the Alfredo sauce: pour in heavy cream and gradually mix in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Combine: toss cooked pasta with the sauce in the skillet. If needed, add reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper.
